Dreams are Possible

It was the winter of the year 2000. I was having breakfast while visiting a friend in Incline Village. Outside there was 3 - 4 feet of snow on the ground and fresh powder from the night before. anxious to meet other snow ski enthusiasts, I was dressed for a great day of skiing. I looked up from my breakfast only to see my friend entering the kitchen in what appeared to be a Golf outfit. Joking I said " I hope you have neon orange golf balls because there is 3 - 4 feet of snow on the ground". He calmly said: "Hey man - I am going to Reno to play 18 holes, I will see you tonight for dinner". It was that conversation that I realized Lake Tahoe was the one place I could ski on monday, Mountain Bike on Tuesday, Snow Shoe on Wednesday, play Golf on Thursday, go for  hike on Friday and then take the weekends off. (Hey, a guy has to rest) Seven years later I am fulfilling my dream of living and working in Lake Tahoe.

After a previous career in the automotive industry, I started my career in real estate in the late 80's working the first 10 years for Gibson Properties Better Homes and Gardens. I bought my first real estate company in 1996 and shortly there after partnered with GMAC Real Estate and branded the real estate company California Properties - GMAC Real Estate. Along the way I started HomeWeb Mortgage, HomeWeb Property Management, and (RETI) Real Estate Training Institute. I moved to Nevada in January 2007 to seek employment with Dickson Realty, the 77th largest independently owned real estate firm in America.I attribute my success to the Boy Scouts of America where I obtained the rank of Eagle Scout and learned the true meaning of words like trustworthy and honest and learned the importance of being prepared.
